| Abstract: | There are 62 grouper specimens of 33 species, 7 genera (Serranidae) in Museum of
Oceanographic, Intitute of Ocenography. The genus Epinephelus comprises 25 species (49
specimens); both genera Cephalopholis and Plectropomus have 3 species (4 specimens);
Cromileptes has 1 species (2 specimens); genera Caprodon, Grammistes and Pseudanthias have
1 species, 1 specimen, each. In this study one species, Caprodon schlegelii (Günther, 1859), was
added to the species list in Vietnam).
Compared with the list of grouper species previously reported, five species were added to the
Oceanographic Museum and 12 species were not recorded. |
