dc.description.abstract |
From 2007 to 2011, green tides annually invaded Qingdao coastal areas on China’s Yellow Sea coast. These green tides are mainly Enteromorpha prolifera and be harmful for the coastal areas. With great efforts by various organizations, the outbreak of green tides was brought under control each year. Based on the possible deep-rooted reasons for the outbreak, the authors outline their knowledge of Qingdao’s green-tide outbreaks and summarize the successful emergency management experiences learned from controlling the outbreaks. This article also discusses related countermeasures. |
